Our MVP, Tom Kaminski, serves as a local firefighter during his "spare" time. Whether it is the thrill of the moment, the pressure, or the intense satisfaction that goes with putting out flames, one thing is for certain - Tom's day job is nonetheless just as hectic. As a technical manager for several administrators & developers at a large telecom company, this certainly puts Kaminski in the center of the heat.
Tom's IIS administration days started with Windows NT 3.51 & IIS 1.0. The very active MVP was first awarded by Microsoft in 2002. The impact he makes is just as powerful in 2006. Tom is often found sharing his knowledge and helping IIS customers in the newsgroups and forums. "I make it a regular practice every morning to check the forums and newsgroups," says Kaminski. "I like helping both novice and advanced users...scanning the newsgroups and forums everyday has been a great tool in learning about real IIS problems and their solutions."
Tom put together a site, IIS Toolshed, aimed at sharing the discoveries he has made over the years with customers. His knowledge doesn't just come from years in the newsgroups & forums, but also from years of attending TechEd and working at the IIS booth. "I am especially excited about what IIS7 is bringing to the horizon," says the Rutgers University graduate. Look for Tom in the IIS.NET forums today...
